The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has advised the public who have purchased various Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits products not to consume them due to potential presence of foreign matter.
The SFA also advised “those whose children have consumed the implicated products and have concerns about their children’s health should seek medical advice,” according to a statement released on Wednesday (Jan. 28).
Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries, the statement added.
The size of the products is 5.50z (155g) with batch numbers: 5209565504, 5252565505 and 5259565505. Their respective expiry dates are Oct. 27, 2026, Dec. 9, 2026 and Dec, 16, 2026.
The statement said that the importer of the products, Nestlé Singapore Pte, had informed SFA about the “voluntary recall” of the products by the manufacturer in the U.S. due to potential presence of soft plastic and paper pieces.
“As a precautionary measure, SFA has directed the importer, Nestlé Singapore Pte Ltd. to recall the implicated products.”
The recall was ongoing as per the statement released on Wednesday.
